Hello everyone. Sorry about the late post. I had a friend fly in last night who is here preparing for the first stage of LPGA Q-School next week in Daytona Beach. Best of luck Lauren!!
Yesterday was a very fun and interesting day on the course! I started the front nine with six straight pars. I was striking the ball fairly decent, but couldn’t get any putts to fall. I encountered a few struggles on hole seven when I hit a poor chip shot which led to my first bogey of the day.
I made the turn with a very boring one over par, 37. I was a little frustrated at the turn because I knew I had let a few birdie opportunities slip and my score was not reflecting how well I was striking the ball.
The struggles continued after my second shot into number 10 green. I made bogey there followed by bogeys on holes 11 and 13. At this point I was four over for the day and not a happy camper!
With a par on 13, I teed it up on the par five 14. The hole normally plays as a short par five, but my drive was not exactly textbook, therefore I had 148 yards into the hole. I played a very good shot and stuck it to three inches to have a tap in birdie, my first of the day!
I had gotten it back to three over and was needing something to happen!
After a solid drive on the par four 15 I had 166 yards left into the hole. I pulled my rescue wood and struck it very nicely. As soon as I hit it my playing partners were all saying “Good Shot”. I knew it was close and was walking back to my bag when a fellow player and her caddie started screaming, “It’s in the hole!” I was very skeptical until I arrived to the green to see everyone’s ball but mine. Surprisingly, there it was…In the Hole! I eagled the par four to get me back to one over for the day! I was excited and really had to take plenty of deep breathes before the next tee shot to ensure my nerves were beginning to calm down.
With a routine par on 16 I had arrived to the par three 17th. I knew I was pumped, but didn’t realize how much. I flew the green by 15 yards and managed a very stressful up and down.
Finally, the 18th hole had arrived and I was determined to stay at one over par for the day. The last hole played as a very long par four into the wind. After a decent drive and second shot I still had a 40 yard shot into the green. I left myself with a 20 foot putt to shoot one over for the day, and I drained it!
I am very pleased with yesterday’s performance. I saw drastic improvements in so many of the areas I have been working on.
After three tournaments in a row I am thrilled to have a few weeks off. I will take this week to practice with Lauren and will be vacationing with my family next week!
I tee it up again August 9-11 at Orange County National.
I will be sure and keep everyone posted as the tournament gets under way. As for me, I am thrilled to be spending some much needed time with family and friends!

Round Two - Harmony
Well, today was a little rough. Nothing disastrous, but challenging to say the least. I carded a 77 today with six bogeys and only one birdie.
I am happy there were no major mistakes, but at the same time I did not capitalize on the chances I was given. A few poor chip shots, one or two bad iron shots and next thing I know I was four over after ten holes.
I managed a birdie on the par four eleventh, but quickly let the momentum slip with a bogey on twelve. I fought hard on thirteen and fourteen to save par, but it wasn’t enough to erase the mistakes I made earlier in the round.
Thank God, tomorrow is a new day! I do feel very comfortable on this golf course and am focused on taking advantage of many missed opportunities. My goal for tomorrow is to stay confident and focused on the task at hand no matter the circumstance I find myself in!
I will have yet another early morning tomorrow with a tee time at 7:40 EST off of #1.
Thanks to everyone for following me this week. I’ll keep you all posted!

Round One - Harmony
Good afternoon everyone! I am playing another Suncoast event this week in Harmony Florida. We are playing at Harmony Golf Preserve. The course is in excellent shape for our event this week. The greens are rolling true and the fairways are tight (not half as wet as last week, Thank God!) Today was a beautiful day for golf! The wind picked up at times, but overall the playing conditions were perfect.
I started the day off on number one with a great up and down out of the sand to save par and nearly holed it on the par three third to make birdie. Towards the end of the front nine I let a few birdie attempts slip away and ended with a string of bogeys. I finished out the front nine at 38.
When I made the turn my goal was to stay focused on the present and let it happen, not force it. Even with a bogey on hole ten, I stayed committed and started seeing good things on the remainder of the back nine. I had one double bogey and two birdies coming in. I finished the back nine at one over to shoot 75 for the day.
Overall, I am pleased with today’s round. I have been working very hard on a few things in my swing and was pleased to see a glimpse of where my hard work is taking me.
Again, I am happy with today’s round, but am focused on tomorrow. I tee off at 7:30 tomorrow morning, so needless to say I will be calling it an early night :)
I will keep you posted as tomorrow unfolds.
Thanks for all your prayers and encouraging words this week. For my friends and family back home, I miss you all so much and can’t wait to see you soon!

Round Three - LPGA Champions
Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay on round three results. Yesterday proved to be a rough day for me on the course. I carded an 80 with no birdies and too many small errors. I was very disappointed in my putting, especially since that is usually a strong part of my game. This week is a quick turn around, therefore no time to get down on myself. The next event kicks off Monday morning at Harmony Golf Preserve in Harmony Florida. My tee time is set for 8:20 off of #1.
I know my true potential has yet to be seen, but I have complete confidence I will see evidence of it soon. One good day could change my environment and the way to approach an event. I know how hard I am working and believe it will begin to show itself soon!
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will keep you posted as the even at Harmony begins.

Round Two - LPGA Champions
Well, today was a battle! As predicted the course was totally soaked for this mornings round. Extremely mushy accompanied with lots of mud...Yuck!!
I shot 39 on the front side after four bogeys and a birdie on the fifth hole.
Once I made the turn I struggled to get anything going. The putts were not falling quite as easily and neither were the good breaks. After a strand of bogeys, I was extremely frustrated to say the least.
Though the circumstances were not exactly what I envisioned I forced myself to move on from the previous shot and focus on the next. I played the last four holes at one under par to shoot 79 for the day.
I was proud of my finish, but see lots of improvements to be made in tomorrows round.
I tee of at 8:10 tomorrow, starting on #1.
Hoping for as little rain as possible tonight and a successful day tomorrow!

Round One - LPGA Champions
Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend.
This week I am in Daytona Beach, Florida at LPGA International for another Suncoast Tour event. We are playing the Champions course and unfortunately we are playing it very soggy. Florida has received lots of rain recently which is no good for we golfers!
I carded a 75 today after an even par 36 on the front and three over, 39 on the back.
I started today’s round off solid with well played chip shots on holes one and two to save par and the short game magic continued throughout the front nine. I only hit four greens on nine holes, but managed nine pars in a row.
After a two put par on ten and a par on eleven I ran into a little trouble on holes twelve and fifteen. With errant tee shots on both holes I walked away with a double bogey on each. No Good!
I was proud of the way I stayed in the moment and had great two putts on sixteen and seventeen to save par.
Hole number eighteen is a par five. I knew I could leave myself with a 100 yard shot or less into today’s pin. I had yet to convert a birdie all day and was begging, pleading and praying for one! My third shot was not exactly brilliant therefore I had a 34 foot put breaking hard left. Obviously the prayers worked and I drained it! A very nice way to end the day :)
Overall, I am pleased with my round today. A few crazy shots cost me, but I stayed focused and finished well.
As I am typing it is flooding again here in Daytona, therefore looks like another wet day tomorrow. I will keep you all posted as rounds two and three unfold. Hope everyone has a great night.

Round's Two and Three - Stoneybrook West
First of all I want to apologize for the late entry.
Round’s two and three proved to be quite the challenge. The theme of having large numbers throughout my round’s continued. I battled most of the tournament with a roller coaster type scorecard.
Wednesday started off with a few pars until hole six. It was a dog-leg left, par four that was playing fairly long with a green surrounded by water and bunkers. Needless to say I didn’t do a great job of avoiding the trouble and made a mental mistake. I fought back with birdies on eight and nine. The back nine seemed to mirror the front. Another birdie on twelve followed by an error on fifteen led to a very disappointing 81.
Thursday’s round ended with the same result. I had many up and downs within the first 10 holes and couldn’t get it back by the end. I carded 81 again on Thursday.
Of course this week’s event proved to be disappointing, but as we golfers do, I'll bounce back and be ready to tee it up again on Tuesday! Next week’s event will be held at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fl Tuesday-Thursday.
I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers this week. Now time to prepare and get after it again soon!
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Happy Friday :)

Round One - Stoneybrook West
Hi everyone! I hope you all were able to relax and enjoy this past holiday weekend with your friends and family. I was definitely missing everyone back home during the holiday as well as my big brother’s birthday (Happy Birthday Bradley, I love you!), but my Florida family made me feel right at home as I volunteered at the local parade and even shot fireworks :)
I’m at Stoneybrook West this week in Winter Garden, Fl. The course is in excellent condition for this week‘s event. Today was a beautiful day for golf in Florida. Blue skies with 100+ degree temperatures to follow!
I shot 76 this morning which was accompanied by one double bogey and only one birdie. The course is set up with quite a few difficult holes; therefore not too many low rounds were posted. Surprisingly, even par was the lowest round carded for the day.
I quickly jumped to two over after four holes. I played the remaining holes on the front nine fairly steady. I made a great save on number nine where I hit my second shot in the water hazard, but was able to get up and down to save par. The back nine was equally as steady, but I still managed to slip in a few goofy shots! I also finished the back nine at two over.
Overall I was pleased with today’s round. I had a game plan and I stuck to it.
I tee off at 8:10 tomorrow morning and am excited to get round two underway! I believe there are improvements to be made on my round today and I’m excited about facing the challenge head on.
I will keep you all posted as tomorrow’s round comes to an end!
