Round One - LPGA Champions

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend.
This week I am in Daytona Beach, Florida at LPGA International for another Suncoast Tour event. We are playing the Champions course and unfortunately we are playing it very soggy. Florida has received lots of rain recently which is no good for we golfers!
I carded a 75 today after an even par 36 on the front and three over, 39 on the back.
I started today’s round off solid with well played chip shots on holes one and two to save par and the short game magic continued throughout the front nine. I only hit four greens on nine holes, but managed nine pars in a row.
After a two put par on ten and a par on eleven I ran into a little trouble on holes twelve and fifteen. With errant tee shots on both holes I walked away with a double bogey on each. No Good!
I was proud of the way I stayed in the moment and had great two putts on sixteen and seventeen to save par.
Hole number eighteen is a par five. I knew I could leave myself with a 100 yard shot or less into today’s pin. I had yet to convert a birdie all day and was begging, pleading and praying for one! My third shot was not exactly brilliant therefore I had a 34 foot put breaking hard left. Obviously the prayers worked and I drained it! A very nice way to end the day :)
Overall, I am pleased with my round today. A few crazy shots cost me, but I stayed focused and finished well.
As I am typing it is flooding again here in Daytona, therefore looks like another wet day tomorrow. I will keep you all posted as rounds two and three unfold. Hope everyone has a great night.
