Well, today was a little rough. Nothing disastrous, but challenging to say the least. I carded a 77 today with six bogeys and only one birdie.
I am happy there were no major mistakes, but at the same time I did not capitalize on the chances I was given. A few poor chip shots, one or two bad iron shots and next thing I know I was four over after ten holes.
I managed a birdie on the par four eleventh, but quickly let the momentum slip with a bogey on twelve. I fought hard on thirteen and fourteen to save par, but it wasn’t enough to erase the mistakes I made earlier in the round.
Thank God, tomorrow is a new day! I do feel very comfortable on this golf course and am focused on taking advantage of many missed opportunities. My goal for tomorrow is to stay confident and focused on the task at hand no matter the circumstance I find myself in!
I will have yet another early morning tomorrow with a tee time at 7:40 EST off of #1.
